MCRCF Participates in Museum Open House - April 28th, 2012
Members of MCRCF will be demonstrating various aspects of aeromodelling at the American Textile History Museum as part of the museum's "Super Saturday" series. Other local aviation organizations (like EAA Chapter 106) will also participate. We need more volunteers - please contact Jeff Ward (see your newsletter for contact info.)
American Textile History Museum "Take Flight" Open House
Spring Clean-up Day! - Saturday, May 5th
Weather permitting, we'll be at the field in Vietnam Veteran's Park starting around 9-am to make necessary repairs and improvements to the flying field and pits, and generally clean up the upper park. Please join us if you can - many hands make light work! Bring work gloves, and maybe a rake. Trash bags provided, along with coffee and donuts for the early birds, and a lunch run if necessary.

Donate/Reuse/Recycle - Saturday, May 5th
In connection with Billerica Clean-up/Green-up day, there will be a collection of donated/recycled goods at the Marshall School (15 Floyd Street). Among those items eligible for recycling are RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES and button batteries. See the event flyer in the link to the right.

Next Horse Show in Park is May 20th
The GBHA (Greater Billerica Horseman's Association) has scheduled shows in the VVP throught the year. Current published dates are: May 20, June 24, September 16 and October 21.

Please observe our club safety rules for flying during horse events. GBHA representatives are planning on hanging a notice on the frequency pole to let MCRCF members know whenever there is an event in the horse ring.

About Us

The Middlesex County R-C Fliers, Inc. is a non-profit organization chartered for the promotion of radio controlled model aircraft building and flying.   Please see our Information Brochure.  The club operates a flying field located on Treble Cove Road, in Billerica, Massachusetts. Use of the flying field requires club membership. New members who are experienced flyers must be certified before solo flying at the field.

Training

The club's volunteer instructors can provide free flight training to any current member. Club membership requires current membership in the Academy of Model Aeronautics, which is the national organization supporting the sport and hobby of aeromodelling.

Meetings

Unless posted above on this page, Regular meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month from September to June at 248 Boston Road in Billerica. Check this page for July and August meeting info.
